China, U.S. discuss investment pact
The 15th round of talks on a bilateral investment treaty between China and the United States began Monday in Beijing.
Negotiators from both countries will meet for five days, they’ve already held numerous discussions since 2008. The talks so far have yielded broad consensus on investment rights and a negative list, or a list of sectors that aren’t available to foreign capital. The proposed treaty would open more investment areas to both countries.
