EU studies free trade agreement with Malaysia - report

KUALA LUMPUR (AFX) - The EU is studying the feasibility of a free trade agreement between it and Malaysia, national news agency Bernama reported.
The agency quoted deputy director-general of the European Commission’s External Relations Directorate General, Herve Jouanjean, as saying: ’We need to go through a period of examination to see whether this will benefit both parties.’
Jouanjean added that a decision on whether to start negotiating an agreement will be made after the study.
He added the feasibility study would take several months.
