Industry and Commerce Minister opens workshop on exporting

Manama, May 6 ( BNA ) Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr.Hasasan Abdullah Fakhro opened here on Saturday the first workshop on exporting Trade (ETT) organized by the by the Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance ( VEGA ).
The Minister stressed on the importance of such initiatives led by international training organizations and backed by the support of the Government of Bahrain. They are aimed at providing assistance to national industrial establishments to identify the right exporting mechanisms in general as well as the best ways to make good use of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between Bahrain and the US particularly with the close of the expected date for putting the FTA into effect in the beginning of 2006, the Minister added Lauding the participation which is the first of a kind workshop in terms of organization, participation and diversity of topics discussed, the Minister called all Bahraini industry and commerce-related establishments to benefit from such outstanding international programs which lead to improving the standard of foreign exports The Minister also underlined the Ministry’s unlimited support to such program to help small and medium businesses expected to benefit from FTA in terms of exporting.
