Jordan seeks to sign free trade agreement with Iraq - Smadi
AMMAN (Petra) - Minister of State for Public Sector Reform and acting Minister of Industry and Trade Tayseer Smadi on Sunday discussed with Iraq’s Trade Minister Abdul Basit Mawlud ways to boost bilateral cooperation. Smadi underlined the need to promote commercial relations with Iraq indicating at the same time the Kingdom’s keenness to sign a free trade agreement with Baghdad as well as other agreements to avert dual taxation and regulate commercial exchange. The government had already presented Iraq with the necessary draft agreements, and is awaiting a reply from the Iraqis, Smadi added.
