Si Colombia toma como referencia el Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) con Estados Unidos al cerrar la mesa de propiedad intelectual con Europa, legitimará la biopiratería, que es una situación jurídica injusta y cuestionable, en la que un tercero se reputa legítimo propietario o titular de un derecho de propiedad intelectual que no le pertenece.
