U.S. Manufacturers Group to Call for FTA with S. Korea
SEOUL, Jan. 20 (Yonhap) — A leading U.S. manufacturers’ group is expected to call on Washington to push for a free trade agreement (FTA) with South Korea, a local trade agency said Thursday.
After picking South Korea, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and Egypt as potential FTA partners, the National Association of Manufacturers of America (NAM) will soon recommend the Bush administration and U.S. lawmakers to seek free trade accords with the countries, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) said.
