LatAm Diplos Talk FTA in Uruguay

Montevideo, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) — Ambasadors from three Latin American nations will present in this capital the foundations of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA), in a specialized meeting to be held at the Republic’s state University.

The event will take place at the historic university auditorium, and Ambassadors Maria Urbaneja (Venezuela), Mariela Ruiz (Cuba), and Marcelo Yanko (Bolivia) will speak at the meeting.

The call by the National Social Organization Commission (CONOSUR), which is headed by Julio Faravelli, includes the PIT-CNT labor central union, the Uruguayan Mutual Aid Housing Cooperative Federation (FUCVAM) and the University Student Federation (FEUU).

"ALBA is a clear integration option, where solidarity and collaboration among peoples rule, and differs from US intentions to impose the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas," said Julio Faravelli.
