Maqbool to head Omani team for FTA talks with US

MUSCAT - The second round of the proposed free-trade agreement (FTA) negotiations between the Sultanate and US will commence in Washington on Monday and continue for several days.
Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, commerce and industry minister, will head the Sultanate’s delegation during this round.
The trade round will finalise discussion on topics relating to liberalising cross-border trade services, financial and telecommunications services, agricultural and industrial products trade, intellectual property rights protection, textiles and garment sector, health procedures, vegetation, health and technical hindrances to trade and other topics.
The two sides held the first round of negotiations in Muscat from March 12 to 14. - ONA
