Thailand, Pakistan to move forward in signing PTA, FTA

KARACHI: Thailand and Pakistan move forward to sign accords for Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) leading to Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) meeting with Wichai Sirisunjin Consul General of Thailand said volume of bilateral trade between tow countries has crossed $1.

Wichai Sirisunjin informed next year Thai Prime Minister would be visiting Pakistan along with Foreign and Commerce Ministry and it would be an opportunity to FPCCI to meet them in Islamabad. He said current balance of trade was in favour of Thailand with huge gap and it should be corrected. He proposed marketing of Pakistani products and business-to-business contacts for improving trade relations. staff report
