Malaysian youth movement calls for suspension of Malaysia-US FTA negotiations in support Lebanon

Kuala Lumpur, Aug. 11, (BNA) — The Youth Movement at Malaysia’s ruling National Party have called for suspension of Malaysia US free trade negotiations for the White House’s objection to ceasefire calls in Lebanon and urged immediate trial of Israel before the ICJ for its brutal aggressions against the Lebanese and Palestinians.

The Malaysian News Agency, quoted, Head of Youth Movement, Khairi Jamaleddine, as saying at the opening of the Movement’s annual General Assembly that the suspension of talks would be a step in support of Palestine and Lebanon. "As there is no sigh for immediate ceasefire, it would be better to halt FTA negotiations", he added. Earlier the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) has strongly condemned during its last meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Israel’s offensive on Palestine and Lebanon and called for immediate ceasefire.
