Staff Report

13 March 2007

LAHORE: Federal Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan said Monday that Pakistan was ready to sort out SAFTA related issues with India through bilateral talks.

After presiding the 19th board of directors meeting of the PSFD at Regional Office of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the minister urged the Pakistan School of Fashion Design (PSFD) management to re-position itself according to modern day needs so the construction of new campus and revision of curricula will help achieve this objective.

He said that the new campus of Pakistan School of Fashion Design would be built in Jauhar Town at a cost of Rs 669 million to help produce fashion design graduates in line with the needs of the international market.

He added that another amount of Rs 820 million would be spent on the training and curricula development under a long-term programme.

He hoped that the upcoming insurance policy would help revamp country’s insurance sector.
