The revised India-Bangladesh bilateral trade agreement is likely to be signed soon. The modalities for the agreement were thrashed out at a joint working group meeting of the two countries yesterday.
The commerce ministry said today that both sides reached an agreement on a common text on the “revised trade agreement which has been under discussion for nearly a year. The two countries have now agreed to have the revised agreement signed at a high-level meeting at a mutually convenient date”.
Both sides agreed on a time-bound programme to recognise each other’s testing labs for commodities such as food products, agro products, textiles and leather.
